Monthly Meetings

The third Wednesday of each month Desert Sleuths convenes in the Wall Street Room at Grimaldi’s Pizzeria (4000 N. Scottsdale Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85251) in Old Town Scottsdale. Member-authors are welcome to bring their books to sell at meetings. No RSVPs needed. Attendees pay for their own meals.

Every month we meet to hone our skills, learn how to get published, promote our work, and network with other crime fiction writers. Our speakers include law enforcement officers, publishers, editors, and other authors.

Renee Nyen

Speaker: Literary Agent, Renee Nyen, KT Literary

Several years in the editorial department at Random House’s Colorado division provided Renee with the opportunity to work with bestselling and debut authors alike. After leaving Random House, she came to KT Literary in early 2013. She loves digging into manuscripts and helping the author shape the best story possible. She’ll be joining us to talk about all things agenty!

Renee is open to queries and is seeking only YA/MG in the following genres: SFF, Thriller, Magical Realism, Historical. “Diverse casts and unreliable narrators a win!”
More details about what she is looking for.
