2026 Sonoran Writers Conference Request for Proposal
PROPOSAL DEADLINE: Saturday, February 28, 2026
The 2026 Sonoran Writers Conference is scheduled for May 9, 2026, at Benedictine University in Mesa, and YOU can be a part of the activity!
Sisters in Crime Desert Sleuths Chapter is collaborating to provide two full-day rooms of panels, presentations, and workshops for this event. Tucson Sisters in Crime (TSinC) members are also invited to participate with us.
Now through Saturday, February 28, 2026, we are accepting proposals from members of Desert Sleuths and Tucson Sisters in Crime (TSinC) for moderators, panelists, and presenters.
On the form, send us your ideas and let us know how you’d like to be part of the event. If selected, you will receive:

- Complimentary access to the event for the day with the Presenters Pass
- Opportunities to be scheduled for on-site Book Signings
- Have your book sold by the exclusive book vendor for the day
- Access to the participants’ lounge, a space exclusively for volunteers, moderators, panelists, and presenters

About the Event
Five programming rooms plus a featured presentation space provide access for a FULL day of multi-channel programming across all areas of writing: Craft, Marketing, Building the Writing Community, the Business End of Writing/Publishing, and more. It’s a one-of-a-kind opportunity to spend the day mixing, sharing, and learning with a great writing community.
