The First-Ever Desert Sleuths Cookbook

Calling All Sisters and Misters!

Are you a Secret Chef? A Creative Cook? A Bountiful Baker or Recipe Maker? Or simply a Fabulous Food Fan?

Then, here’s your chance to have your favorite recipe(s) published in the very first Sisters in Crime Desert Sleuths cookbook of recipes to kill for, debuting at the 2019 WriteNow! Conference.

We’d also like to feature your best writing tip. You don’t have to be a published novelist to share great tips!

Our 2019 WriteNow! Cookbook will feature two types of dishes: Main Courses and Desserts. Main courses can be anything from a casserole, to a roast, to a hearty soup/stew, to an entrée salad and more. Dessert recipes will run the gamut, too.

You are invited to submit for consideration up to two recipes for each category and/or up to two writing tips. The recipes should be personalized—no copying verbatim from your favorite cookbook, please. The writing tips can be from your personal experience, from educational programs or shared with you by an industry expert or author.

We are creating the first-ever Desert Sleuths cookbook:

1.    To feature the recipes you love to make, in a special collection that will be cherished for years to come.

2.    To share the best writing tips you use, or have heard or learned, with other Desert Sleuths members and authors/aspiring writers everywhere.

3.    To create a fabulous, fun cookbook as a fund-raiser, helping the Desert Sleuths chapter offer outstanding conferences and seminars each year and to offset the cost of these programs—permitting members to get significant discounts on registration fees.

Recipes and writing tips must be received no later than March 31, 2019.
